Go Snutch Yourself
Snutch Labs, the arch-enemy of the as-yet-unnamed still incubating online writer's group that I belong to (which is a different consortium of wordsmiths than this one), had a virtual tete-a-tete with Paul Tremblay, author of the amazing novel The Little Sleep (a book for which I have a partial review written but have been too much of a slacker to finish, the review not the book, the book was phenomenal).1) Go buy The Little Sleep.
2) Go read the Snutch interview chat thing.
3) Go read The Little Sleep.
4) Say to yourself, "Dang that's some mighty fine neo-noir PI literature." Or something like it.

Arch enemies, eh?
Nothing like some good competition!
Who you got?

So far the loose conglomeration is John Jacobs, John Rector, Sunil Sadanand and myself. Jacobs is speaking with a couple of other people to see if they're interested, then we can work out the kinks. I'm sure we'll be picking all your brains to see how you manage workshopping and such things over at Snutch.

I don't think that's how arch enemies work.

Yeah. How can we be arch-enemies if I've done covers for half of those folks.
No, I think we should bitchy, backstabbing two-faced friends who borrows clothes and never returns them.

All the whining, this is how the Sharks and the Jets started off. It was all "Hey, we can share the West Side. We're compadres." Then it was all "You dated my sister, somebody's gots to die."

This should be fun....looking forward to seeing your final draft pick. :)
