An Interview with William Gay

Not by me (as if), but rather the fine folks at Oxford American, who have selected Gay as their featured author this month. The Q&A is chock full of writerly tidbits, knowledge and insight, take a look (and while you're at it, go read some William Gay), you won't be disappointed.

The editor of Oxford American, Marc Smirnoff, whom I've worked with in the past, is a huge dick and liar.

Can't stand that guy. So it irks me when the magazine is good, which it usually is. It's run here in Central Arkansas.

But I won't pay for the fucking thing. I'll read it in the library. He's not getting my money, the bastage.

Thanks for posting this, Erik. I enjoyed it a great deal. I think I'll post a link to it on my blog as well, if you don't object.
