Review: How I Became a Famous Novelist

Steve Hely's debut novel How I Became a Famous Novelist could serve as a primer to aspiring writers on the crazy dynamics of publishing, a how-not-to guide, and as a glimpse into the ever changing state of affairs as to what constitutes literature (see Lev Grossman's WSJ essay for more on this) -- plus, it's really quite funny. While this is a book that any fan of good writing will enjoy, it's likely to strike a special chord with those working on the ever daunting task that is the novel.

And for even more info, check out the scoop on the film adaptation and the very meta book within the book website of the narrator's title, The Tornado Ashes Club.
