An Acceptance at TMR (I Think)

Last summer I was presented with the fortunate opportunity to take a crack at something I'd never really attempted before, a long form multi-book review (or as TMR refers to them: Omnibus Reviews). Granted, I read a ridiculous amount of books (and book reviews for that matter), but just as I'm working on a novel (my first, not first attempt, but first that has anything resembling promise), I've been working on this review off and on for a good part of the last six or so months. I read the selection of books that I felt best fit what the journal indicated they were looking for, each book seemingly larger than the last and then I started writing. Several thousand words later I had a finished draft, then the waiting began.

Would the editors like it? Would they hate it? Would I be able to add The Missouri Review to my list of publications, or would I need to find a dark corner in which to hang my head after writing what was certainly a ridiculous, horrible piece of crap? Well, I'm happy to say that my submission has been looked upon kindly, I'm waiting on line edits and it appears that my review (details to come) will be appearing in the summer 2011 issue (granted I don't manage to screw this up between now and then).

Thanks. I'd been holding of on posting anything, but I figured if the word was that they liked the piece and would get the line edits back to me (during which time I needed to send my bio and accompanying photo) then I was at least 87% safe saying something about it.
