About: Biographical Data

It's fairly certain that I'm nowhere near important enough to warrant a bio page, but when you write things, submit said things and someone is kind enough to actually publish those things, well, they usually ask for a writer's bio of some sort. So with that in mind...

The Version You're Most Likely To See In A Journal:
Erik Smetana's father was reared near an Arkansas watermelon patch, his mother on the outskirts of Motown. His writing can (or soon will) be found at places like: The Missouri Review, Hobart, Moon Milk Review, BLIPMonkeybicycle, Annalemma, and PANK among others. Erik resides just outside St. Louis with his wife and a dog named Sam.

The Parsimonious Version:
Erik Smetana likes words, both reading and writing them.

The Overwrought Version:
I won't bore you with that.
