I write stories. Microscopic tales with less than a dozen sentences and books that go on for hundreds of pages and word-stuffs that fall somewhere in between. I've been fortunate to see my thoughts, ideas, and writing show up in places like The Missouri Review, Hobart, Mississippi Review, Eckleburg, ESPN the magazine, PANK, The Writer magazine, and a whole slew of other journals, magazines, and anthologies you might not have heard of. When I'm not writing, which is most of the time, I keep myself busy as a dad, husband, higher education administrator, and curator of Stymie Magazine.

My current work-in-progress is a novel concerning love and loss, fob watches, mysterious strangers, growing up, good and evil and that sometimes murky area in between, and the birth of the atomic bomb. Trust me, it's better than the elevator pitch reads...
